Prior to this, I was Staff Psychiatrist and V.A. Substance Abuse Treatment Program Coordinator at the Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care System, El Paso, Texas, where I did things like outpatient detox, the schizophrenia and dual diagnosis groups.  Other activities included:  facility Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee; VISN 18 Pharmacy Benefits Management Committee; member and former chairman of the Pain Committee; member of the Geriatric Evaluation and Management Committee; Assistant Clinical Professor, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at El Paso, supervising and giving lectures to the psychiatry and family practice residents.


Before that, I was Chief of Inpatient Psychiatry at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, 1994-1996.


Residency:  Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, 1991-94.
